I am seeking a Lead Data Engineer with following skills and qualification Skills Required 10+ years of total experience Must have strong experience in Python and SQL Extensive experience in SQL query design and tuning for performance and accuracy Must have strong experience in AWS services including S3, redshift, Kinesis, Lambda Must have strong experience in ETL including the newer low code ETL tools such as Fivetran Strong Experience in data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology, or experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics solutions Statistics experience preferred Experience in big data processing and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets. (SQL, Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, Cloud DBs) Experience in an AgileSprint
YOU WILL
· Conduct code reviews
· Design and develop new data solutions reflective of business requirements
· Participate in agile planning meetings
· Perform unit and system/ integration level testing on all applications
· Present ideas for system optimisation to high-level stakeholders
· Support the ETL process
· Work with the Data team to deliver high-level code
REQUIREMENTS:
· Relevant experience in the past for at least 8-10 years
· Should have working proficiency in SQL, Python, C#, Go, MS
· Should have working proficiency in Java
· Should have working proficiency in building ETL pipelines
· Should have experience managing Data Warehouse
· You are equally happy coding and leading a team to implement a solution
· You have a track record of innovation and expertise in Data Engineering
· You're passionate about craftsmanship and have applied your expertise across a range of industries and organizations
· You have a deep understanding of data modelling and experience with data engineering tools and platforms such as Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop
· Practical knowledge of a platform orchestrating processes (eg. Airflow)
· Knowledge of Software engineering methodologies: eg. Unit Testing, CI/CD
· Should have the capability to work independently with very minimal supervision
· Possess critical thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and effective presentation skills
· Should be a good team player with inclusiveness and constructive thinking
