Senior RF ( Radio) Optimization Engineer

Role description:
The main tasks of a Radio Frequency (RF) optimization Engineer is to improve the customer experience offered by the installed base of network infrastructure at a local level, and to be involved in local design exercises.
Required Responsibilities:
- Improving network performance by changing network parameters
- Act upon top bad performing cells and very annoying cells
- Act upon very annoying location list (areas where customer experience is bad according to our GEO-tool)
- Make sure network performance KPI goals are reached within your area
- Perform day-to-day capacity management, for 2G/3G/4G.
- Analysis of (benchmark) drive tests.
- Perform specific optimization for mobile usage on trains and in tunnels (metro/train/car)
- Solve customer trouble tickets and VIP complaints and business femto-cell complaints
- Be involved in nominal planning, site roll-out prioritization exercises and site profitability exercises.
- Be involved in exercises on deployment of small cells
- Be involved in G18 and U21 out-phasing planning
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of multiple radio access technologies (2/3/4G & LTE)
- Knowledge of an RF tools such as Atoll, ActixAnalyser and Viavi-AriesoGeo
- Knowledge of Huawei hardware equipment & monitoring tool (PRS)
- Ability to understand & analyze wireless network traces and KPIs
- Understanding antennas and antenna lines, radiation patterns, etc...
- Have an understanding of common issues encountered in mobile radio networks and how to typically solve those.#
